Franchise Approval Process
The steps to owning your own Velocity Sports Performance franchise are simple. A member of the Velocity Franchise Development Team will be available for you every step of the way. If you feel you meet the financial requirements of owning a Velocity franchise, then you are ready to proceed.
Step 1: Initial Call with Franchise Development Team Member
There are many ways to get in contact with Velocity to start your inquiry process. Call us directly at (866) 547-2250 or click the “Apply to Own” link and submit a web inquiry. A member of the Franchise Development Team will answer all of your initial questions about potential ownership of a Velocity Sports Performance.
Step 2: Complete and submit the Request for Consideration (RFC)
After your initial call, you will receive a Request for Consideration (RFC) application to complete which is a simple two page summary of your business experience and financial capacity. Of course, the information you provide in the RFC will be kept strictly confidential and will not be shared with any 3rd parties.
Step 3: Franchise Disclosure Document and Due Diligence
After your RFC has been approved we will provide you with our Franchise Disclosure Document, or commonly referred to as the FDD. This document is required by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and certain state laws, and explains in detail a Velocity franchise. Thoroughly review this document which contains highly pertinent information regarding our company’s background, our franchise business program, and preview copies of any documents you may sign when becoming a franchisee.
After all of your questions regarding the FDD have been answered, Velocity will make arrangements for you to speak with some of our current franchise partners to discuss the franchise opportunity and at which time, they’ll share their personal experiences in the business.
Step 4: Attend a Discovery Day
You’ll be introduced to your Velocity Service Center support team, based in Orange County, CA via conference calls and/or in-person meetings. Our corporate team will be supporting you as a franchise partner in the topic areas of operations, marketing, Velocity University, real estate, information technology, and more. You will also visit a few Velocity Sports Performance facilities to learn more about how they operate.
This engagement provides you and the Velocity executive team an opportunity to learn more about one another, and ensure that there is a mutual fit.
Step 5: Sign Franchise Agreements
Upon final approval by our executive committee the next step in the process will be the signing of your franchise agreements and paying the franchise fee. Once we have countersigned your agreement, you are officially a Velocity Sports Performance Franchise Partner and our franchise team will begin working directly with you to open your training center as quickly and efficiently as possible.
